Outreach Family Counselling

Outreach Family Counselling: preserving healthy families…

AMCAL’s Outreach Family Counselling Program, for youth aged 7-17 years, may be the short-term intensive program you need to help you address issues of family dynamics, identify your family’s strengths, & develop strategies that help your family prevent more serious problems.

The outreach program consists of 10 weekly sessions with a Family Worker, which are usually conducted in the family home. During these weekly meetings, a family worker identifies the families’ needs and works with the family members to effect meaningful change within the home environment.

Ask yourself: is your family struggling with any of the following ingredients that are common in healthy family relationships?

  • a supportive & nurturing home environment
  • trust & mutual respect among all family members
  • consistent parenting
  • effective family communication
  • clear expectations for parents & children/teens
  • appropriate boundaries between parents & children/teens
  • a collaborative approach to coping with conflict

Remember: for parents who care, AMCAL is there.
